I have fibromyalgia and mixing this with juice 2x a day ( and taking 400 mg of CoQ10) have given me enough energy to be able to work and do things again. This stuff mixes up really easy because it is so fine( not all barley grass mixes will and if it taste bitter it is not top quality with all of the super nutrition like this sweet organic one). It is a little cheaper at vitacost, however and they will autoship. This stuff dissolves easily in water and doesn't taste too bad at all. My kids don't like it, but prefer it to green smoothies, but ts really great when you don't have time to cook or eat well, like when on vacations.I usually take a couple of tablespoons a day in a big big glass of water. Recently after not being very good about my diet for a very long time, too much carbs, fried food and very little vegetables, I started on this stuff again and I really noticed that my saliva changed within a couple of days of restarting on this. It feels more wet and not sticky, my mouth also doesn't feel all thick and furry in the morning. I really felt better taking this stuff, knowing that this did make a difference in my body. I know China has had some bad press and I do understand the concerns regarding food products. I looked up the company of the certifying agent and it looks like a legit operation to me. I use 2 spoonful in my diet every single day. Whether adding a spoon during making green vegetable blended food in Vitamix blender or making combined fruit and vegetable blended foods for breakfast or dinner, I add the barley grass for my daily intake of chlorophyll. There are plenty of other sources for that such as from spirulina or chlorella however many people have issues with the fish smell (even through they are nothing but micro-algae). So, if you want to get proper amount of healthy chlorophyll daily and not be bothered with the fish smell (not an issue for me at all), then barley grass is your best bet. I probably will order another pound once I'm done with it. |
